Sanrio Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") recognizes its social responsibility for Charaforio (hereinafter referred to as "the Service") and establishes these Prohibited Conduct Guidelines (hereinafter referred to as "the Guidelines") to ensure the sound and smooth operation of the Service.
Article 1: Purpose of the Guidelines
These guidelines are established by the company and may be amended at the company's discretion according to changes in society or the environment. For matters not specified in these guidelines or terms used in these guidelines, please refer to the general terms and other individual terms beyond these guidelines.
Article 2: Prohibited Actions
Users must not engage in or encourage actions that fall under the following categories or actions that could potentially lead to these categories while using the service:
- Actions that violate Japanese or international laws, public order, common terms, or individual terms as determined by the company.
- Actions linked to fraud or other crimes.
- Actions that infringe upon the rights of the company or third parties (except when following the "Fan Creation Guidelines" and "Registered IP Rules").
- Actions that cause economic or emotional harm to the company or third parties.
- Actions that involve defamation, threats, or harassment towards the company or third parties.
- Actions that damage the reputation or trustworthiness of the company or third parties.
- Actions that infringe upon the portrait rights or privacy of third parties.
- Actions that impersonate others or could be mistaken as such by the company.
- Providing false information to the company or third parties.
- Forcing the company or third parties to fulfill obligations or reasons not required.
- Unjust delays or ignoring responses to communications from the company.
- Actions that cause disadvantage to other users by presenting unfair conditions when providing products, rights, or services to other users through the service.
- Excessively repetitive inquiries, sending many messages via messaging functions, or other nuisance actions.
- Inappropriate advertising or solicitation.
- Presenting or sending pyramid schemes, chain sales (multi-level marketing), or other solicitation methods.
- Inducing or encouraging participation in communication tools or apps other than the service.
- Exchanging accounts or other rights related to the service for cash, property, or other economic benefits.
- Acquiring accounts through methods other than those specified by the company.
- Acquiring multiple accounts of the same type.
- Reproducing posted information (including all posted information and information registered as IP) without the consent of the copyright holder of the posted information (except when following the "Fan Creation Guidelines" and "Registered IP Rules").
- Analyzing posted information using AI or other methods.
- Using analyzed results to generate and post information similar to the works or posted information of specific third parties (including stylistic similarities) using AI or other methods, or distributing or selling models or tools that facilitate or encourage such actions.
- Collecting works using automated collection programs (including but not limited to crawlers).
- Posting many works that occupy pages or otherwise significantly impact other users' experiences.
- Using the service or its parts for commercial or business purposes, or for profit-oriented activities and preparations (except when using the user's own posted information).
- Actions that fall under stealth marketing, where it is difficult for other users to identify the content as an advertisement, or using the service for stealth marketing purposes.
- Actions that mislead users into thinking that the service or parts of it are conducted by the company or its affiliates.
- Actions that place undue burden on the service's servers beyond normal limits, or actions that disrupt the operation, network, or system of the service, or actions that could potentially cause such disruptions.
- Posting, publishing, collecting, or accumulating personal information of third parties (including addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, credit card numbers, or account numbers) on the service.
- Using flaws or issues in the service’s programs for illegal purposes or for purposes similar to those.
- Accessing the service from countries or regions not specified by the company, or using IP addresses from those countries or regions to access the service.
- Sending or posting harmful computer programs such as viruses.
- Illegally altering or deleting information stored in the company’s equipment.
- Other actions deemed inappropriate by the company.
Additionally, the following types of posts are prohibited, and such posts may be deleted at the company's discretion:
- Content containing inappropriate sexual expressions or scenes and poses that suggest such expressions, including:
- Depictions that glorify or affirm actions such as suicide, self-harm, or drug abuse.
- Depictions that glorify or affirm extreme ideologies or anti-social behaviors.
- Depictions that include intense or disturbing violent content.
- Excessive gore or exaggerated stimulation that could lead to imitation.
- Content that praises or promotes discrimination based on race, beliefs, occupation, gender, religion, or similar factors.
- Content that praises or promotes cult-like religious activities or excessive political activities.
- Content containing grotesque expressions that could be deemed offensive to a significant number of viewers.
- Content that is obscene, includes child pornography, or depicts child abuse or similar themes.
- Content featuring primarily live-action images.
- Content that consists of mechanical text strings or similar, making it unclear or not intended as expression.
- Messages or information that violate prohibitions using homophones, derived words, spelling mistakes, or ateji (phonetic characters).
- Content created in whole or in part by generative AI.
- Posts using all or part of another's IP without properly designating the original IP under "Related IP."
- Any other content deemed inappropriate by the Company.
Article 3: Measures for Violations
If a user engages in prohibited actions as defined in these guidelines, the company may take measures against the user in accordance with the common terms.
Supplementary Provisions
- These guidelines shall be effective from August 7, 2024.
